Our Pastor
Pastor Isaac & Danelle Ramirez
Pastor Isaac Ramirez and his wife, Danelle, were launched into Thoreau from the 2023 Gallup Bible Conference with a clear directive: preach the Gospel, make disciples, and win souls for Jesus Christ.
A native of Grants, New Mexico, Pastor Isaac has a genuine love for people and a desire to serve. Together, Isaac and Danelle labor to see people saved, families strengthened, disciples raised up, and the Gospel carried beyond the walls of the church.
Our church is centered on the preaching of Jesus Christ and the Word of God. We believe the local church should be a place where people encounter God, grow as disciples, discover purpose, and become involved in reaching others with the Gospel.
Statement of Faith
What we believe.
Our doctrine follows the same historic Statement of Faith taught throughout our fellowship. These beliefs summarize the biblical truths that shape our preaching, worship, discipleship, and Christian life.
God the Father
God the Father created the universe and humanity in His image for fellowship with Him, and through Christ calls fallen humanity back to Himself.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is eternally God. He became truly man through the virgin birth and remains one Person with both divine and human natures.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is God and the giver of life. He empowers believers for service and witness, works holiness in us, and conforms us to the image of Christ.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit subsequent to conversion, with the biblical evidence of speaking in tongues and the continuing fruit and gifts of the Spirit.
The Bible
We believe the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for doctrine, correction, instruction, godliness, and Christian conduct.
The Cross & Atonement
Christ's substitutionary death on the cross paid the penalty for the sins of the world, and we believe God's provision in the atonement includes healing for the whole person.
Salvation
Salvation is God's gift, received by faith through repentance, belief in Jesus Christ, and personally receiving Him as Lord and Savior.
The Christian Life
Believers are called to consecration, devotion, holiness, perseverance, and an ongoing life of sanctification while standing firm through trials and spiritual warfare.
The Church
The Church is the Body of Christ and God's dwelling among His people by the Spirit. Every believer has a place in the local church, where disciples are formed and ministers are called to the Great Commission.
Baptism & the Lord's Supper
We practice water baptism as a public testimony of identification with Christ's death and resurrection, and the Lord's Supper in remembrance of His death until He comes again.
The Return of Christ
We believe in the bodily and personal return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the saints, the millennium, and final judgment, with eternity determined by each person's relationship to Christ.

Our fellowship's vision is lived out through evangelism, conversion, commitment to the local church, discipleship, church planting, and world evangelism. We preach for a decision, train disciples within the local church, and believe those disciples should be released into the harvest field to reach others.
